Dear God,

Giving up feels so easy

Casting hope aside feels so liberating

My heart is bruised and aching

My faith is frail and battered

I refuse to give up

My solace is in you

The one and only God

In whom there’s no variation or shadow of turning

I can’t thank you enough for the miracles of the year 2013

You made ways in the wilderness, caused rivers to flow in desserts and caused me to break forth in dancing

In my unfaithfulness, you remained faithful

In my complaint, you continued to bless me

In my grumblings, you sustained me

I am assured that you will never leave me in the midst of a storm

You proved yourself God

Teach me patience, to see the rainbow after storms

Teach me contentment

Teach me to count my blessings

My God,

Who knows when to make all things beautiful?

My God,

I come with a grateful heart

Knowing it could only have been you

Who has seen me this far

Unto you I commit my faith

Don’t let my enemies gloat

Don’t let them ask me, “where’s your God”
