SHOWING OFF

I have plenty assignments from my darlings DOHKJemima and mindshde. I want them to know that they didn’t include a prize for the best answers, so I held a meeting of all bloggers that were tagged. The meeting actually held last night (in my sleep) and it was agreed (better still I proposed and adopted) that until “something” is declared by the inclusion of a gift, we won’t be answering the questions. “Something” can be anything from recharge card à la toinlicious, books à la mynewhitmanwrites or a free trip to Yankee à la Simply Mee  . Lol….I know, I know, awoof dey run belle…. But since it’s my belle…let it run…
On a serious note, please bear with me; I will answer the questions this year….:)
Now to other news………
I chopped my hair May 2012 because I was jealouxing all the fine looking natural hair I stumbled on some Nigerian bloggers, also I had kept my hair natural for three years from 2008 to 2011 until I moved back to Lagos the last quarter of year 2011, got it coloured and cut into a style. By Jan 2012 I knew I was missing my natural hair in all its fullness so I decided to chop my hair last May. The barbers were not willing to chop, so Hubby did the chopping.
Fast forward to April 1, 2013 ------------------                drums rolling

Yeah, after stalking all hair blogs I can announce that I am proud of how far I have come. My special thanks to my Hubby who I draftED through the shampooing and moisturising process. I am still a long way off because I would love to have hair so long (bra length) and most importantly know how to style such that I can rock it to the office. I haven’t had the liver (courage) to rock my hair in its natural state to my office.
In the spirit of happiness and having received blog gifts almost every month this year, I will love to give the following items to any anyone who won’t mind having them
·         SheaMoisture Organic Curl Enhancing Smoothie

·         Taliah Waajid Curly Curl Cream

·         Giovanni Smooth as Silk Deeper Moisture Conditioner

I will have it delivered to any address in Lagos. Emmm…..how do we pick the winner…simple because I have very few followers, my mind is telling me that I will be lucky to have anyone want the hair products. Make una help me shame the devil and someone can please, please, show interest oh…otherwise I will shave off my hair……just kidding…..
I am grateful I have a blog where I can show off what I have under my wig….…After all if am not rocking it on planet earth I can rock it in cyberworld…….hehehe

  7. Hi girl, thanks for checking up on me. I have been busy with plans for my up coming book presentation and it's been so time consuming. My phone was also stolen about two weeks ago, and I got another phone, which is more complicated, lol. I am sstill studying it o. I was trying to publish your comment using my phone, when I mistakenly pressed something, and next I saw, was the message: rejecting Sykik's comment, or so. I guess I accidentally deleted your comment or sonmething. Na wa for this JJC lecvels with the phone o. God will help me, lol.

I also cut my hair, and I am daring to go natural. I hope I can keep it up, hahahahahahaha. Well done sis. Your hair rocks.

    1. I guessed as much , that the book presentation was close . Congrats in advance and he we all get invited.

Going natural is tough, I won't lie as instill have some hair bad days. I also have been hiding under a wig for 11 months and in between kinky twists. I need to brace up for my hair unveiling day....lol....like say na ceremony abi....

However, it is worth the trouble. Looking back now, I don't mind one bit , I have learnt so much and should I have any reason to use the relaxer, I know what and how to keep my hair healthy.

  11. I like your natural hair. I only wish my wig-fixing sister will get on with her natural hair someday. Only heaven knows the hours she uses fixing those weave-on. Natural hair rocks it for me joor.

    1. Lol...most ladies are addicted to the weaves. It takes a lot of courage to break the addiction. I am sure one day she will get the motivation. You can show her some natural hair blogs and maybe my pics if that will help

  12. Wait, did you say May 2012? That's less than a year ke! How did you achieve that much??? Oya come and gime tips too. Mine was a year natural in March and i can't even pack it yet. I want all three gifts mbok.

Serious about the tips o. I need healthy hair and length biko

  13. Tips ke.....na blogs I learnt from oh..anyways I will have to say that I am still learning . I shampoo with dudu osun. I mix my conditioner with coconut oil and steam before washing out. I do hot oil treatment(olive oil and Shea butter mix) and I also do tea rinse . I think the growth is because I have been on protective styling for the whole period. I haven't had to wear my hair out.

I shampoo every two weeks because I am prone to dandruff. I haven't been able to eliminate that , it's reduced sha.

Maybe I may do a proper post on my routine. Send me a mail with the address you want the items delivered to. I will send you conditioner and curly cream.

    Thank you.
